I want to get started in investing and I want to protect my personal assets. I want to invest in real estate but I am confused because I heard that you need a LLC for each property. Is that truly necessary?

Investment Info:

Townhouse buy & hold investment.

Purchase price: $255,000
Cash invested: $15,000
Sale price: $400,000

How did you find this deal and how did you negotiate it?

I knew the developer and was familiar with a previous project.

How did you finance this deal?

Hard money.

How did you add value to the deal?

Replaced the carpet with laminate flooring and upgraded the kitchen and bathroom

What was the outcome?

Property was only on market for 4 days before an accepted all cash offer.
