@Dan H.  thanks for the welcome and service appreciation.  And many thanks for the tips...I've teamed up with some investors just recently who understands the financing side of investing, which I always struggled with in the past.  I am definitely going to take your advise and ensure that I know what you said inside and out.

@Rob Drum many thanks for the welcoming message.

@Jo-Ann Lapin thanks for the welcome message and the tip about National City, especially since it's right up the street from my neighborhood.  However, I don't see any expansion going on there other than apartment buildings.  Should I see new home developments too?

@Chris Jensen what is BRRRR? And why did you guys feel the need to use your own money to buy those SFHs in high-demand areas? Have you found a way to remove some or all equity in those homes yet? RSVP

Hello RE Investors,

I’m Carl, Carl Handy, residing in sunny San Diego, CA.Retired Navy now for 9yrs, Woohoo!I’m originally from Houston, TX.Been in San Diego since 1984, when I joined the military.Love it out here.

I’ve owned two properties out here, one I lost during the market crash in 2008. I had a hunch the whole time to keep and rent out since renters where drastically looking for nice places to rent.It took the bank over 2 years to foreclose on the property.I look back now and realized the money I loss being scared.

I heard Trump say back in 2007 on television, to never give up real estate. Now I know I should’ve applied the strategy I had back then and would most likely still own that property and enjoying at least an $800 a month cash flow.

So I’m back to real estate investing and this time in pursuit to do great things and not be scared. Laugh. I’ve done some studying on foreclosures, and I’ve recently teamed up with a group here in San Diego that plays the CashFlow board game.

So I’m looking to close a deal of some sort before the year is out and another deal by March 2018.

Real estate investing will be part of the strategy to fund our retirement.

Bring me your strategy tips and suggestions, please, and thank you!
