I have had some good luck with NBKC (Kansas City bank). They have good customer service, good online access, and take series LLCs.

Hey guys, I have a fourplex I own in Dime Box Texas (yes, this name is correct, about 1 hr east of Austin TX). I like the property, it is built solid, and the numbers are good. The tenants are also good, no major issues... other than the are all OLD and basically don't know what the internet is. I love using apartments.com (I have used a few other rent collection systems in the past). They make collecting rent and managing a property easy. These tenants not only don't do this, they are adverse to it. They send me a cashiers check every month, often with a hand written note about the properties condition. Yes, it is a nice touch, but come-on... I'm a busy guy. Can't we move this a little more towards tech? Any thoughts?

My first rental property, I didn't understand how the numbers worked. My tax returns showed a slight loss on the property even though it was rented at a great rate. I took this as if I was losing money, while in reality the home was appreciating, I had cash flow every month, the loan was getting paid down, and I wasn't paying taxes. I now know to use a rental property calculator to see how much I'm actually making... as for the original property, I sold it 15 years later for a great profit!

I purchased this unrestricted land for a great price (and did 1031 from two lots into it); it is a great location right outside the city limits. The land is unrestricted, which can be a big deal in Texas.

Since purchasing this land, we have added a tiny home that will be utilized as an Airbnb in the near future. Another portion of the land has been developed to serve as a boat trailer storage area, and the land also serves as home base for heavy equipment that we have purchased to begin a land and tree clearing company that has taken off in the last year and is producing a great additional source of income!
