Newbie here and also looking to make my first foray into REI with a vacation rental on either Oahu or Maui. I currently live in Oregon, but vacation in Kihei and Lahaina quite a bit and am familiar with both areas. I went to college on North Shore of Oahu and lived in Ewa Beach for awhile, so I am familiar with Oahu as well. I have been doing LOTS of research on short term rental zoning, and all of the lovely nuances involved in purchased a vacation rental in Hawaii. There are definitely many obstacles to overcome to even find a property, let alone buy one. I am open to any feedback, tips or advice. Thank you!
