Hello BP forum,

I am currently a college student studying finance, more specifically personal finance. I was just curious to see what you all would say the best degree to have for a aspiring real estate investor would be.

All comments and tips for a pumped up and excited college kid that wants to get into real estate investing are welcome.

Thank you!

@Scott Mac

That is a great book. I read it last year and that is what started me on this journey. Thank you for your input!

@Gavin Herrera

Thank you for your advice. It is much appreciated. As for right now I am just working on getting partners to provide the down payments or even the purchase price is cash. Thank you again!

@Bob B.

Thank you for your advise. Do you have any specific advise of savings account that are earning you the best interest? Or what the most effective way would be to save for my goals?

Hello BiggerPockets community,

I am currently a full time student studying finance as well as working a part time job in property management on the side to support my wife and I as we go through school.

I love Real Estate and spend the majority of my free time (which is almost none existent) reading books, listening to podcasts, and spending time on the BP forums. I also practice analyzing deals as often as possible.

I am in the situation where I have made the decision that I want Real Estate to be a big position to financial freedom and I have the desire to make that happen. I wanted to see if anyone had any advice or personal experience on how someone in my situation with very little experience and not a lot time or money can start investing in Real Estate.

Your responses are appreciated!
