Jeff: Thanks for the advice! haha. Im not really the type of guy to go blow my money like that. I have a full time job, but im looking to make something of an investment for me in the future.

Bryan: As for the answer to your questions, Im currently planning on live in the house for about a year while continuing going to work at my day job. But I have been considering taking on real estate as a career. Ive been reading up as much as I can on how to get it started...or to basically start making money. I am a very hands on person, and i can do alot of improvements on my own to a degree. (putting in hardwood floors, tile, drywall, etc...)
But as for this property, it is outside of a large city, in a rural area in a very quiet neighborhood. Also, there is a large hospital being built within 10 miles. I estimated the rent to be around 1200 a month, based on nearby rentals. any advice or direction is much apprectiated!

feel free to send PMs

thanks again all

Hello all. I am new to this forum and was led here when looking for help in my current situation. I recently inherited house from a family member. The house is about 60 years old and has been recently remodeled. Im unsure about the value of the home. I know that it was valued at 65k before the remodeling. I believe around 15k was put into remodeling the home. The house has been paid for.

I was wondering what my best plan of action is for this home? sell, rent, borrow against house to make another purchase?

I am very young (22) and inexperienced with this. I am a recent college grad and hope to make the best of my fortunate situation. l look forward to hearing some opinions!

Thanks!
