Do I need to use a real estate agent besides the listing agent for inquiring deals? I feel like I am an annoyance and that it’s just a waste of time calling a real estate agent to have them call on a deal when I can just call the listing agent directly. Personally, I just feel like its easier and wastes less time going directly to the source and calling the listing agent. Is there a reason why I should be funneling all my inquires and questions through an agent that’s not listing the property? Is there a reason to be loyal to one real estate agent?

Thanks!

Branden

I am on the hunt to find some deals since I typically can't find good deals on the MLS. I found a few properties on Zillow that are in pre-foreclosure or accepting bank offers (is there a difference?), however, there is no person listed to contact? Who do I contact to find out more on those properties? Do I contact the lawyer? Is it even possible for me to directly contact the bank who owns the properly to offer a price on the home before it goes to auction? If so, what are all the steps to acquiring property this way?

Thanks for the Help!

Quote from @Travis Wylie:

Hello @Branden Wintermyer,

I'd recommend starting to network with other wholesalers and agents that you could JV with if you don't have your buyers list. Also, start going to some of the local real estate meetups in the area to start networking with other people in the industry who could also be a buyer/seller for you.

I'm happy to help in anyway possible.  I'm local to Harrisburg, and know the city like the back of my hand.  I've done acquisitions/dispositions for other investors and myself.

Reach out with any questions you have.

Hi Travis,

Thank you for reaching out. It's a pleasure to connect with a real estate agent and investor from the Harrisburg area. Your recommendations are great, and I sincerely appreciate the insightful feedback you've provided. Currently, my plan is to establish a solid network within the local community. I have a dedicated partner who is assisting me in kickstarting this endeavor, I will not hesitate to contact you if any questions arise along the way.

Thanks!

Branden

I'm excited to be entering the world of real estate and looking to expand my property portfolio gradually. Currently, I own a single rental property near Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. I've been contemplating a few strategies, and to accumulate more capital, I've decided to begin by wholesaling a few units. This will allow me to save up some money to venture into property flips and long-term investments.

I understand that this journey won't be easy, but I've already taken the first steps by initiating direct mailers. I believe wholesaling is a good starting point for me. In the worst-case scenario, I will gain insights into potential buyers in my area and can begin networking to immerse myself in the real estate industry. What's the best way to get into wholesaling?

I would greatly appreciate any wholesaling tips or advice you have to offer.
