@Alex G. Appreciate the idea. I was hoping for a recommendation for a tried and trusted contractor from someone on here who had used them before on a previous job.

I'm currently renovating a triple decker in Dorchester and am looking for a good contractor to repair the vinyl siding where we removed and added 6 windows total, as well as where old deck ledger boards once were. I'm having a tough time finding someone to take on a job of this scale since it's so small, and likely only a day of work. If anyone has any recommendations I'd appreciate them! Thank you.

Thanks @Lien Vuong. In case you're curious, I received great reviews from other landlords on Miracle Method and Superior Bathtub Refinishing.

Does anyone have a professional tub and tile reglazer around the area that they would recommend? I have read that the DIY kits are pretty hit or miss and want to hire it out. Preferably someone with a guarantee of some sort. Much appreciated!

@Andrew Easterling I would second what @Charlie MacPherson said regarding Mattapan and Roxbury (and I would add Dorchester) as good opportunities for high risk and high reward. I bought a triple decker in Mattapan last December and so far it's been a great investment. If the right deal came along in either area (or other surrounding areas) I would jump on it.

Hey Stuart,

I used JD Carpet Cleaning Service at my last house and they did a great job. BP won't allow me to post their phone number so I'll shoot you a DM with it. Best of luck.

I agree that the slowdown is upon us, and also agree that's it's simply a correction, not a crash by any means. Sellers are coming on the market way too hot; roughly 30% of homes sold this year have had to decrease their listing prices before they were sold. I think we'll continue to have an incredibly hot market for at least 2-3 years to come, but sellers shouldn't be getting too greedy, nor investors and developers.

Can I ask the contributors of this thread what rates they are typically paying for their property managers in this area?
