Thanks Doug, I thought about including personal friends or relatives. Sometimes the people close to you don't see the vision or can be negative influences especially with Real Estate. But I have a few relatives that may help.

What interested me in Real Estate was not only the financial potential but its also a safe investment because everybody needs a house to live in. I've always wanted to invest in Real Estate but didn't have a clue in how to do it. I am a current homeowner and I didn't know how I could come up with extra financies to invest in more property.

Well, to get started I am going to put a team together which consists of a Real Estate agent/Investor in my area who really knows the hotspots in my area. I also want a lender or a mortgage broker on my team for the financing and maybe even a Real Estate lawyer.

I am fairly new to REI but have always been interested and intrigued by friends and associates who are actively investing in Real Estate and have been doing it for years. A friend of mine who is an REI introduced me to this site and after navigating through some of the forums, blogs, and bulletins, I quickly joined. My goals are to eventually invest in1-2 properties per year (single family) and rent them out for 5-7 years. I am looking forward to networking with other succesfull investors on BP who have the experience in doing this.
