@Alyssa Strom Thanks for the reply! We are looking for opportunity in duplex or triplex units specifically that we could live in one unit and rent out the other unit(s). We are still a small family and see the opportunity in that model of RE investing while we still fit in smaller units. I'm open to areas within the Twin Cities but have also considered areas outside, like St. Cloud. The main thing is we are looking for areas that are safe, have good schools and healthcare, low vacancy rates, etc. We love Minnesota and just need some direction in knowing if we can reach our goals there. Thanks!

@James Hamling Thanks for the reply. I haven't decided on an area of the Twin Cities yet. I have spent considerable time there but am unfortunately unfamiliar with specific areas that could meet the criteria of safe, good schools, low rental vacancy, etc. I have considered going outside of the Twin Cities to, for example and area like St. Cloud. We currently live in the Salt Lake City area and the market here has gone wild over the last few years making affordability on duplex and triplex units not impossible, but fairly tough. We plan to live in one unit and rent out the other(s). Hopefully this helps to clear some of my vision up.

Hello everyone, my name is Bryce Veazey and am new to real estate. My wife and I are looking to move to a more affordable market to get into real estate and Minnesota is on the list. I'm hoping to network with locals to identify which areas could would be best. Looking to stay in or around an hour from the twin cities. Thanks for all the help!
