Thanks for posting that article Brandy, but the one I read was a little different. The author of the article that I am looking for was showing how in retirement, a few paid off properties can generate the same monthly cash flow as many leveraged properties. I remember there was a section where the author used hypothetical numbers to illustrate this difference. The author was showing the advantages of retiring with all “paid off” properties.

I read a great article on the BiggerPockets.com blog a few months ago, and can’t seem to bring it up in my search now. The article compared a scenario in which an investor would own a few properties outright to generate the same income that someone who has many cash flowing properties financed would earn. The author was in favor of owning the few properties outright due to the simplicity of managing fewer properties. Does anyone remember the title of the article? Thanks!
