I agree with Cooper here. Talking with a lender should at the very least provide you with a better idea of how much more you will need to save, and hopefully some other actions to start taking to get better prepared for financing.

Ask yourself the questions "Would I buy this property as a rental if I didn't already own it?" and "Can I get a better return on the 30k tied up in this property through a different property or investment?"

I hope this helps!

@Jimmy Davis Thank you! I am so excited to be in the business, and especially to get some rental properties added to my portfolio! It sounds like the way that you have gone about your career lines up with my goals as well. I would love to talk with you sometime about what you did that made you successful, and really just any advice you have for me as I start out in both fields!

Hello my fellow Wichitans,

I am a newly licensed Real Estate Agent, (Dec 2020) and prospective Investor looking to make some connections! I have been a long time listener of the bigger pockets podcast and consumer of bigger pockets content. My passion for Real Estate was started by this site, and I am working hard not to get stuck in analysis paralysis! I bought a house last year in Haysville that my wife and I currently live in with the plan to move out this summer and turn it into a rental.

As you know books, articles, and videos are only one aspect of learning, with conversation and experience being another huge part. I would love to get to know some more likeminded individuals! There are so many amazing people on this site, and I am grateful to be a part of this community!
