Hi, I bought my first property in September of 2018 with a VA loan because I am prior military. I have owned the house for over a year now and my original plan was to hire a property manager to find me a tenant. I bought the house from a previous investor who had tenants already and wanted to liquidate. My property manager is now telling me I need to do more renovations to the house before it can be rented. I don't have the money to complete the renovations. I'm debating on selling the house to break even or just manage the rental myself. The house is in Baltimore, MD. Please advise.

Hello! I've been listening to the BP podcast and the BP money podcast and I've learned a lot so far! I'm a 27 year old USMC veteran. I bought my first property when I was 26 using a VA loan. I'm currently living in my property and looking to rent it out once my year primary residence mandate is done.

I recently started my own personal training business June 2018 as well and balancing out a full time job with the state department. I'm look forward to networking with other investors in my DC, Maryland, Virginia area. Also I run a podcast called "The Catch Up" where I highlight people who are talented in health, wealth, and creativity. I'm looking to add a bigger emphasis on real estate investing on the podcast. Thanks for reading!
