Hey @Joe Villeneuve, I know you mentioned the following and I'm really trying to understand and grasp 'A':

For learning how money works, do you have any good books or sites that you can recommend on it?

Thanks!

Sorry I'm late to the party, but to piggy-back off of @Russell Brazil, one of the places off Gude in Rockville called ABKA Granite & Marble did a fantastic job with the granite installation when we renovated my wife's townhouse to get it ready for sale.

We picked out a beautiful 'leftover' slab that was unused from a previous large installation that was big enough to complete her kitchen. If I recall correctly, it was a thicker slab of granite than Home Depot or Lowes and also at a cheaper price point (installed) because we chose one of those 'leftover' slabs.

You can find great deals from any of those locations though, so shop around and keep in mind to inquire about the unused leftover slabs from previous installations.  You'll be surprised at how big some of those leftover pieces can be.

Good luck Tarrance! I failed to mention that it was my buddy's first flip, so there are definitely opportunities and successes to be had for us newbies.

Welcome @Tarrance Queen! Like Russell said, PG County may be a better option. My buddy just completed a flip in Laurel that turned out great!
