Trying to price out contractors that build over existing detached garages. It’s hard to find. Ideally I just want the shell built and I can finish out the inside myself. I also hear that sometimes building a garage apartment over an existing detached garage may require additional stud shoring as well as underground structural piers. Does anyone have experience with garage apartment additions? What problems did you have? What was the final cost?

So my brother in-law and I want to buy an apartment complex that’s less than a million dollars and around ten units. I HAVE NO IDEA HOW TO GET A LOAN. Do I need 20% down? Do I have to prove cash flow ability? Can I get away with 5% down. Are there any advantages if the loan is taken about by a HUB? Can I just walk into a wellsfargo and get this kind of loan, or are there specific types of commercial banks y’all would recommend in Texas? Anyway, I’m totally in the dark, so anything and everything is helpful. Thanks

I’m looking for a place to rent in San Antonio for me and my two dogs. My new job will be near 35 and Rittiman. Honestly I’m trying to get a rent house on the cheap. Don’t care about about the condition. If it needs work, no problem, I work in the plumbing industry and can get you whatever you need. Looking for cheap because my wife has to stay behind in HOUSTON for her health insurance, while we’re trying to have a baby.

My wife and I are looking to move into San Antonio from Houston in the fall. What are the up and coming neighborhoods? I’m looking to for something that will become a trendy, walkable neighborhood, in the next 5 years. Perhaps something close to music venues , or local festivals, or parade routes?

I’m also looking to network before I get out there with lenders, agents, and contractors.
