I was contacted by Fredommentor last night and they are going to call back tonight to follow up. Has anybody had any experience with them? What are they about? How do they operate? Thanks?

Hey Rob, thanks, I have not decided. I want to ask because I am the type that responds better if someone asks me but if that doesnt work then they see my challenges and may put 2 and 2 together and dismiss the challenges and then Im stuck! That is why I was asking if anybody had any luck one way or the other especially with this company. Then there is also the chance that it will affect the age of the collection with the CB.

Thanks everybody! I was thinking about trying the goodwill letter first but didnt want to screw up my chances with a challenge if it didnt work. Probably do the challenge with credit bureaus and collection agencies. Thanks again!

I have been reading a lot the last couple weeks. I started out on 123flip and came to Bigger Pockets from there. I have read the beginners guide, watched several of the podcasts, and have started on the forums. All this info is outstanding! Just wanted to take a second to thank all those involved. Thank You!

I have 2 collection agency listings on my credit report that I wohld obviously like to remove from my credit report to help with my real estate investing. Both of them (MCM and EAF) are about 2 years old and both are paid. Has anybody had any luck in this area, and if so, how did you do it? Goodwill letter? Challenge letter to creditor? Challenge letter to credit bureau? Thanks!

Hey everybody! Greetings from Gulfport, MS. I am getting my ducks in a row to get started in real estate investing. I have done one flip deal that was a foreclosure with property line issues. I was able to get a contract with the bank contingent on land acquisition and a contract for the land contingent on the deal with the bank going through. I got both deals done and the properties merged. That was the good news. The bad news is I was being funded by a private individual who stopped funding the deal and things got messy from there. Long story short, I ended up making about $2500 when the deal should have netted me around $25K. That was about 8 years ago. I decided that I was going to be involved in real estate but not with a partner or investor. Since then I have got my credit cleaned up and I am debt free other than the mortgage on my personal residence. I am about to cash out a 401k so I will have about $30-$35K to start with. I am currently looking for investments on real estate websites but I feel like I am not seeing the deals fast enough and I am finding them after they are under contract. Is there a way to get a more level playing field to find properties? I want to start off doing flips and/or wholesaling. Any advice would be helpful and appreciated. Questions are welcome. Thanks!
