Hello all,

I am a new wholesaler in the greater Seattle area from Arizona. I have joined a local REIA and from some meetings with attorneys I have come to find that there are lawyers suing real estate investors for "equity skimming" or looking to make deals with homeowners that are owner occupied and in pre-forclosure. Investors know that people in pre-forclosure are able to get out of a terrible situation and move on, and the investors also get a new project.

Are there any seasoned investors in Seattle that know more about this? Or ways around some of these laws? Going to meet with an other attorney soon to get more details. I just want to hear some strategies and insight on going about this in Seattle. Thank you!

**If this was the wrong section I apologize new to this forum**

Shelby, I'm 25 from Snohomish, WA have just gotten into real estate investing this year and have already learned a lot. Looking to keep my network open and meet with people on the greater Seattle area. I have also read a pile of Robert Kiyosaki books and they definitely change the way you think about money.

Hello members of BiggerPockets! Thanks for having me. I am glad to have a forum to discuss scenarios and ideas in addition to networking. I am not only looking to connect with members in the Seattle area (of course will connect with those in all areas of the country). I am in the WA REIA as well. Starting out in wholesale and growing my buyer list. Let's connect!

Hello members of BiggerPockets! Thanks for having me. I am glad to have a forum to discuss scenarios and ideas in addition to networking. As it states in my title, I am looking to connect with members in the Seattle area specifically (but of course will connect with those in all areas of the country). I am in the WA REIA as well. Let's connect!

Sounds like John is trying to scare new wholesalers and investors. Don't hate the player, hate the game. There are plenty of people who invest in Real Estate legitimately by assignment of contract. It's not illegal.
