@Brandon Holley thanks!  That is good advice.  And I have been devouring all the podcasts!

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone!

@David O. At this point I'm still researching strategies but there appears to be good opportunities for cashflow with buy and hold properties in the KC market.  My skill set is in sales and marketing so my initial thinking is that I can raise some cash via wholesaleing and/or fix n flip and keep some properties along the way.

I'm sure wholesaling isn't as easy as some gurus might make it out to be but it seems like the most logical place to start as finding deals is probably the foundation of any successful investor's business.

@Ndy Onyido I have been in KC my entire life and while there isn't huge growth or expansion like in the sunbelt cities, it is pretty stable and has affordability going for it.  The inner city and downtown are certainly on the up-swing.  There is huge development in the works for north of the river and Cerner is building a huge campus that will bring a bunch of jobs (and hopefully retail and increased property values) to south KC.  Do you invest in KC proper?  Suburbs?  MO or KS?

Hello Everyone,

I'm a new member in KC looking to learn more about all aspects of investing so I can create a good plan to build a business.  I've been lurking for a bit and finally signed up. I'm looking forward to meeting some like minded people.

Cheers
