Hey Dan, thanks.  Yes, a title company is preparing the docs on his end, and my personal attorney is gonna review it before I proceed.    So what is the main reason lending as an entity would make more sense to you?  This is my first time doing any of this...

Hello,

I was curious if anyone has any thoughts on if a hard money loan should be made in my name, or my LLC if I am the lender. I would have my loan secured in 1st position w/ the home at a good LTV ratio.  The paperwork is being drawn up soon and didn't know if I was better off doing it in my name or my LLC as I am only loaning the money , interest only with 4 pts, that's it.

Appreciate any info/comments,

Brian

Hello, Was curious if any of you lenders out there have ever loaned as a "gap funder" to be put in a 2nd position and if so, what creative ways they may have come up with to help secure the loan. I realize as 2nd position I can be wiped out so I am trying to see if any of you have any ideas that can help lessen my risk. The borrower has agreed to split net profit w/ me 50/50.  Thanks in advance
