Thanks for the response @Sherief Elbassuoni

I probably should have clarified that our property is 3 miles outside the city. In fact, not far away from the 520. I just read that article on Appreciation and it definitely gives a peace-of-mind in terms of what to expect given the recent migrations to Bellevue.

Thanks for offering your advice and an open line to DM you — I may have some other questions for you down the road!

Hello!

My wife and I purchased a house up in north Seattle and are using our previous house as a rental. Thankfully, we were able to hit the ground running as the process of finding a tenant and getting situated at our new place went quite smoothly. So far things have been working out nicely, but I am curious what people’s thoughts are on the Seattle market —particularly in regards to current events (political and COVID related)? It seems there are a decent amount of companies packing up and leaving Seattle and I’d like some insight on where things may be headed. Being that this is our first attempt at being landlords, we’d like to educate ourselves before making any impulsive decisions we’ll regret down the road. Any insight is greatly appreciated!

Fernon Meeks, did you sign the CARES ACT amendment with Loftium? We did and so far Loftium has been paying us the sub-tenants portion along with any income made through the Airbnb.

We reached out to the sub-tenant and they forwarded us to their Loftium contact, which got us a response pretty quickly. We are scheduling a call with them and I will update this thread for posterity.

Hi Kayla,

Thanks for the reply. Yes, we got the sub-tenants portion for April's rent. We're concerned because Loftium isn't answering any of our emails and we can't get anyone on the phone and we want to have them sign a repayment plan, but now we are worried they have no intention of ever repaying us. How were you able to dissolve your contract?

Thanks!

Is there any update here? I’m also a landlord and am having trouble getting a response from Loftium.
