@Greg Soon BiggerPockets Pro members get access to all Stessa core (free tier) functionality – plus unlock exclusive access to advanced features, like unlimited portfolios and Schedule of Real Estate Owned (SREO), all at no additional cost. If you cancel your Stessa Pro account you will not have access to all of the Pro features with your BiggerPockets account.

Are there any features with the BiggerPockets Pro account that you have any questions about?

Hi Noah,

I recently purchased a Stessa Pro account and was unaware of the collaboration between BP an Stessa. Is there any way to get BP pro account?

Thanks for your help,

Brian

Has anyone had any issues accessing Stessa website from Win 11?  I just bought a new laptop for my bookkeeping and all I get is a spinning icon after login.  Stessa support has so far been unhelpful.

I have not had any issues with Stessa on Windows 11. I would try deleting my temporary internet files in your browser. Close and re-open the browser and try again.

Stessa is really an awesome system. Everything you need for asset management on small or medium portfolios without much frill. I recommend Stessa to all my retail clients.

 Hi Noah,

I have also been really happy with Stessa. What do you use for managing properties? I am wanting to manage maintenance requests but feel I am going to end up doing double entry between two systems.

Thanks
Brian

For our management portfolio we’re on Buildium. It’s more than the average investor needs though. Just use a spreadsheet if you’re dealing with <10 properties.

Thanks Noah,

I'm under 10 units. I have been using Appsheet for other items and can create something I can send the tenants.
Thanks

Hi Chad, did you ever find out if you can transfer your VA loan or title to an LLC? If not can you put the loan in a trust then make the beneficiary the LLC?

I think adding a Pickleball is a good investment. As someone who has been playing before it was cool. I am confident that its not going anywhere and people will pay extra for it. The learning curve for a new player is much lower than tennis. If it was me I wouldn't make it multi use. If you have to share lines it makes it confusing, but that's just me. It's getting so popular where I am at its difficult to find places to play and if you want to drill with a partner be prepared for an argument. My only question is where is the STR located? Just wandering how many months can it be used.

Thanks for everyone’s responses, very helpful

Question on the depreciation deduction. My ex and I purchased a Multi-tenant house 20 years ago. During this time my ex and I rented out the studio, lived in the house and claimed depreciation on it. After 20 years I bought her out of the house with a cash out refinance then rented out the house and studio. Hypothetically the house was purchased at 300,000 then 20 years later was re-appraised and refinanced at $600,000. Do I only have 7.5 years left to depreciate and can only depreciate at 300,000 or does my time start over $600,000?

Thanks for your help.

Can I restrict the number of occupants to 1 for a studio rental in California? The studio is below the master bedroom and I want to minimize the noise.
