I ran into an unfortunate situation. Recently, I closed on a new construction SFR rental. The property management company was marketing the property and getting it ready to lease. During a showing the property manager found that all the appliances in the house had been stolen. Police report said there was no sign of forced entry. I do not live in the same state and I'm trusting the management company to get the property leased. Now I have to replace all the appliances before I can get it back on the market. Is the property management company liable at all in this situation?
