My sister lives in League City, Texas.  My wife and I are looking at buying a rental or vacation rental that we can rent out till we retire and will spend time down there with them in the winter.  Are there any vacation rental friendly places in the area, and also decent management companies?

Do the big box stores sell Roxul?

I have an old house that is a 2 unit building, one up and one down.  It is currently down to the studs and I am replacing all mechanicals and windows.  I have seen some threads on how to finish ceilings to eliminate noise transfer between units, but it has been awhile.

I was wondering what techniques you have used to insulate and finish drywall to cut down on noise between units.  All suggestions and links to blogs, threads and products would be greatly appreciated.

I have read a lot about and have seen the new Home Depot Life Proof Vinyl Flooring and really like it.  I was wondering what experiences people have had with it.  Also looking at the Mohawk UniClic LVT but have not seen it in person yet.  My flooring guy does not have any samples of it at this time, but he always treats me right, so wanted to know people experiences with Mohawk also.

Since my flooring guy also backs me on projects with private money so I try to give him as much business as possible.

I was looking at possibly flipping a house that has the hard asbestos shingles for siding. This is about a 2000 sq ft two story square house. Anyone know how much I might cost to have shingles removed and disposed of or can I side over them? This is Illinois, not sure if laws differ by state. The shingles are not in good shape so a thick coat of paint is not a very good option.

I currently have 6 SFR and currently remodeling my first multi-unit. I also have a commercial building with 3 store fronts. As my mother always said I am a like a fart in a skillet! I have bounced all over the place with my investing. I have been listening to all of the BP podcasts and reading a ton and trying to hone myself into on area.

Wanting to step it up and present a more professional image and start to refine my approach on marketing and working on deals.  Love the encouragement and ideas I get here.  Started to work with Fiverr for a logo and looking into other ways to step it up.
