@Ryan Howell I am reading rich dad poor dad right now and have ordered Brandon and Josh’s how to invest in real estate to read next. After that, I will make my first purchase!

What is the average cost of these condos and hoa fees?

@Taylor Bishop thanks for the info. I have priced some condos in Va beach as well as ocean city md. I did have concerns that some HOA's were going to start making rules against Airbnb's. It sounds like that is the case. You are saying that they still allow vacation rentals? What would be the difference in that and Airbnb? The length of stay or the method it is booked?

@Daniel Denning so there is potential in this idea, also, what all is typically included in the HOA fee? Are you considering more condo purchases? Did you purchase it sit unseen or did you go there to check it out before you made the deal?

@Daniel Denning what type of property do you own in Myrtle beach and what type of profit are you making?

@Daniel Denning what is cohosting? And who comes to clean and prepare the property in between guests?

That’s one reason I’ve been hesitating. I would love to buy somewhere that the weather is nice since I live in pa. But I’m thinking by the time I pay someone to manage it... there will be no profit

I was just wandering if investing in a condo near a beach on the east coast is a good idea for my first investment? I was thinking of Airbnb renting it or something like that?? Also, how to I find property managers for airbnb style rental and are there any better recommended beach areas to look? I love Myrtle beach but I’m not sure if that’s a good market

I live in rural southwestern Pa. I’m 37 and married. Our only child has moved out and married. We are now considering investing in real estate. I’m just starting to do research and think that I’m interested in a buy and hold type of investment. Do you think I should start with something local? My ultimate goal is to own something near a beach. Rent that possibly as an Airbnb until one day retiring there.
