Thank you, Travis! Really appreciate it. I just completed "How to Invest in Real Estate" this morning, and am now diving into "Rich Dad, Poor Dad" now b/c of allll the accolades. Next I think I'll read Brandon Turner's "The Book on Rental Property Investing" as that seems like what I'm drawn to initially.

Beyond that, I'm focusing on:

-Scanning/reading any posts that catch my fancy

-Keeping an ongoing notebook of things I want to dive into further

-Reaching out/making local connections (KC area)

-Discovering if there are any clubs/meet-ups/groups I should join

I think with that, my path will start to take shape. But otherwise - I'm all ears on things I should consider doing!

My career as a stand-up comedian is over before it began. Let's hope my foray into real estate investing goes better!

Noah told me to introduce myself here, so who am I to disregard protocol. I'm an executive creative director in advertising, having done agency life for 25+ years. I recently devoured the book "How to Invest in Real Estate: The Ultimate Beginner's Guide" recently...which led me to discovering this community...which is leading me to thinking about my next chapter in life. Not sure which path I'll take yet, as I'm in "absorb everything and learn thyself" mode still. Looking forward to making connections and growing.

Go Chiefs! (and Royals, and Jayhawks)
