@Ceasar Rosas

Thank you very much for inviting me to your monthly session, Unfortunately I am unable to make it tonight. However I will definitely attend next months session. I was wondering if you were available anytime before your next meet up to have a sit down. My girlfriend lives in the Bronx near the Grand Concourse and also very interested in REI. Much thanks for your support.

Hey guys, I'm new to BP (I absolutely love it) and I'm brand new to real estate. I am currently saving for a down payment. I was hoping to get some guidance here: My goal is to buy a multi family home in an outer borough (probably Queens, Bronx, Brooklyn possibly New Jersey and become an occupying owner. Excluding taxes and repairs, I should be able to live rent free with that plan (I just have to find a deal in which the numbers add up). I live in Cambria Heights, Queens—. I was hoping to find a duplex or triplex $400,000-500,000 range Does anyone have any advice for neighborhoods to look into? I'm planning on getting a FHA loan, by the way. Is there anyone out there who has been in the same boat and has some wisdom to spare? Also, does anyone know of some NYC BiggerPockets meetups?

Good Day All,

A little about myself, I am an architectural designer, currently working as for an Architecture firm, MEP engineering firm as well as an assistant professor at NYYCT. I'm versed in drafting, 3D modeling, rendering, animation and model building. I love traveling and exploring. I believe as a real estate investor, I can achieve my goals of getting off the rat race, becoming financially independent and create wealth.

Although I lack the experience in real estate investing, I'm gaining knowledge with books, webinars etc. I'm am a fast learner and eager to acquire more knowledge. I would greatly appreciate advice from the more seasoned investors.
