Thanks for the welcome ladies!

Mandy, I have read a little about wholesaling and was going to look further into it, until I read something (negative) recently. That's one thing that's been hard on BP as a beginner--what some people see as a good thing others see as risky, etc. So many different points of view! I know eventually I'll find my niche, but just starting out it's hard to know what to take to heart and what to take worth a grain of salt. I am reading "Building Wealth One House at a Time" and just downloaded the "Ultimate Beginner's Guide" (BP). Maybe focusing on those would help for awhile. ???

Hello real estate people! My husband and I are in the "education" stage of investing. I'm reading like crazy--books, blogs, articles. I'm starting to watch podcasts and am planning to sign up for a webinar soon. This network is amazing! All of the information can be overwelming, and that's what makes this endeavor feel a little scary. But I'm pushing on, telling myself not to give up. I have yet to read anywhere that investing in real estate is easy.

Last month I told my husband about the concept of house hacking and he was instantly onboard! So that's our plan for now...convert our current home into a single family rental property and move into an owner-occupied duplex for awhile. Our goal for this shift is "in about a year". This may feel like the longest (or shortest) year ever. I'm anxious! :-)
