Here we are 14 days since we were assured AHP would provide K-1 Statements and still no statements...  Has anyone received any communication from the company regarding the delay?

AHP is nothing if not consistent.  Here we are April 2nd of 2022 and still no 2021 K-1s.  Peter Rainaldi Investor Relations Manager stated in an email to my wife they would be sent out in March.  On March 28th, he changed his that to in 7-9 days.  Are those business days?  Are those dog days?  Each year they are consistently the last K-1 we receive.  Think I'm exaggerating.  Below is something I posted in 2019.

This feels like deja vu all over again.  Here we are mid-March 2019 and still no K1 posted on AHP Fund or AHP Servicing investor portals.  Has anyone heard from the company regarding a release date for 2019 tax documents?

I cannot wait for this investment to end...

@Amanda Kwong

Hi Amanda,

I have not received my initial investment back from the 2015 Fund yet.

I am however concerned about the difficulty in having in obtaining a return of funds I’ve invested in the AHP Servicing fund. I made my request in April. I’m still waiting...

@Jason Monaco

Hi Jason,

Like most things in life, there’s good news and bad news with AHP.

I am still receiving 10% consistently each month. That’s the good news.

The bad news is that like @Paul Chapey, I requested a redemption (return of funds invested) on April 30th and have recurved nothing. I’ve sent several follow up emails. Still no money. Here is the most recent response they’ve sent:

Hi Bruce,

We understand it may seem conflicting, and prolonged time period is of course not ideal.

AHP has to make sure it optimally manages the business, and that includes continuing to invest in the companies future, pay distributions, and focus on deals that stand to benefit the investors. We anticipate the speed we have been processing redemptions will begin to accelerate. When we are able to move forward with your request a member of our team will reach out. We appreciate your patience during this time.

Thank you

I will let everyone know if I see a return of my initial investment after 4 months and counting.

@Paul Bommarito

How are you getting a response from AHP? I have received emailed responses days later, but seldom have I received a phone call.

Success.... depends on how you quantify it.

I have done business with AHP Servicing and AHP Fund got about 3 years now. They have consistently paid the 10% or 12%, depending on the fund, they advertise. A couple years ago, I did request they redeem a portion I had invested and I believe it took a few weeks, but it was no big deal.

Those are the pros for investing with them.

Here are the cons I have noticed.

Their investor portal is clunky. It is tricky to navigate and interpret. The information is there, but it is not modern or intuitive.

They are notoriously late in providing you with a K-1 statement. I just received 2019 K-1 last week. 2018 K-1 was not quite as late, but nearly so. 2018 they promised they were utilizing a different preparer and would not have this issue.

They are difficult to communicate with. They have an email that links you to a customer service team. Do not expect a same day response or a next day response. Do not expect an automated response saying we received your email.

Last con is that I’m having difficulty getting them to return money I have invested. When I hit the redeem button on their website and input an amount, it seems to accept my request. I say seems to but I never received a confirmation email. Nothing within my Investor portal suggests I made the request. I’ve emailed the AHP Servicing Team (customer service) and received no response after 2 business days. Typically it does take them awhile to respond, so I’m a little concerned. I haven’t hit the panic button quite yet.

On the whole, my experience is you do get your money, but the service is lacking.

@Matt Gallacher

I did receive the K-1s a few days before taxes were due. A representative from the company said for 2019 they will be using a different company to handle K-1 preparation, so they expect to complete them much sooner for tax year 2019.

Hello BP Community,

For those that have experience utilizing a HELOC, can you share the names of companies that you would recommend for obtaining a HELOC?

@Matt Gallacher

Hi Matt,

No I did not. I spoke with Brian there last week. He said they would soon be adding a documents tab on the site and shortly thereafter uploading the K-1s. He informed me that uploading the docs could take a week or so. He said they were working really hard on this. I had the feeling I was being strung along.

While they have added a documents tab to the AHP Serving website, I have yet to receive any K-1s for AHP Serving or the AHP Fund.

@Paul B.

Hi Paul,

I emailed them in early February about the K-1. At that time I was told they would be ready March 1st.

I guess it’s time to follow up again.
