I really appreciate yalls input thanks a lot!! I've been pre approved for 250k, and I am using a hero program which covers 12 thousand in closing costs and since I'm a first time home buyer I can put 3.5% down instead of 20%. Austin is a tricky market I was thinking with such a low down payment maybe I could afford a three plex or quad. What do yall think?

Hello, my name is Behr. Just signed up on the site today. I just started a great career as a firefighter, I live in Austin, Texas and am looking to buy my first home and thought why not purchase a duplex/triplex and get into real estate during my time off?
