Is there not much of a difference in state to state regulations?

Hello BP,

I apologize in advance if this is not the correct area for this post but I could not find another thread specific to CPA's.

I am looking for a recommendation for a good CPA in the South King County area of Washington. I live in Auburn, Washington which is about 30 miles south of Seattle. I would also be fine with someone in the North Pierce County area as well.

Thank You

Brandon

Hey @Darren Moeller,

I live in Auburn as well and am just getting started in Real Estate. What has helped me get over the hurdle was reading posts from BP, reading various business and real estate books, and many podcasts. Looks like you are on the right path, my business partner and I would love to talk and possibly get together. I am sure we can help each other out and find some great deals in our area!

Thanks @Dave Visaya and @Brandon Turner

Great @Nghi Le, my partner and I will be using all the resources we can get to eliminate a lot of the time consuming pieces of running a wholesale business. And there will be a lot of deals at this point that we will not be able to do so yes we should definitely stay in touch!

I have been looking at FHA recently which may look like the best road to take as you are saying. @Chris Pasternak

Thanks Gerald, my partner and I have already attended some classes. I don't regret doing it because I have learned some very good things there, we did know better than purchasing most everything they tried to sell us. We knew we didn't have to get an LLC or License to get started but for us we felt people would take us a little more seriously because of our age and lack of experience. I have noticed that it wasn't necessary and all we really need is confidence but it was very inexpensive to start the LLC.

Thanks @Michele Fischer  I am currently looking to Wholesale sfh's, my immediate goal is to pay off the rest of my bad debt and then I will look into finding my first rental property. I am currently in the act of buying my first home personally as well, I thought of doing a duplex but cannot convince the other half on that idea.

Awesome @Zach Schwarzmiller I will check out that website a little more in depth.

Hello BP world!

My name is Brandon Johnston and I am from Auburn, Washington(about 20 minutes south of Seattle). I am a brand new investor actively looking for my first deal although I am realizing I am not doing a great job at staying persistent. I just started getting into investing towards the end of February where I attended a 3-day training through the Richdad Program, since then have taking a wholesale class and have read quite a few books on real estate investing, taxes, corporations, self motivating, etc. I actively listen to the bigger pockets podcast among others which keeps me motivated. I have created an LLC and got my state business license started and have started putting a business plan together(20% complete) and have found a few different strategies of marketing I am starting to use.

I am currently working full time as a machinist while scrounging up time during the rest of the week to get my business rolling. I have learned a great amount of information which I believe I have enough to get started(could have along time ago) and I believe this network will help me find the people in my area to take it to the next step.

I am glad to be associated with you all and am excited for what the future has to offer for me!

I have talked to a few loan officers already but I know how valuable referrals can be so I wanted to jump on here and ask.

Hey BP nation, my fiance and I are looking to purchase our first home and we are considering getting a rehab loan and contracting out the rehab work while we rent our current home. We are only interested in medium to light rehab work so if we can find something that we can do the rehab work in a timely fashion that's our preferred option. I am here asking for any good references for a rehab loan. We will be living in this home for a few years but will eventually turn it into a rental.

Thanks Brandon
