@Leslie Crosten

Does it have mold where it’s been leaking? If not, It probably hasn’t been leaking for too long. And if your handy you can most likely fix it yourself. Also to put the whole thing into perspective, your gonna have things that come up, it’s just part of having a house. I’d just call a plumber get a quote and then run your numbers. I doubt it’ll change too much. In any case I wish you well.

@Cody Campbell

Hi there, so I’m also from MN and we are closing on our first place in 5 days. And I plan on finishing the basement in the first two months or so. Adding two bedrooms and a bathroom, making it a total of a 6 bedroom and 2 bath house. The terms of our agreement is that we stay there for 5 years, so I planned on house hacking it (making it a duplex) would I want to refi or would I want to do that before we move out? I’m asking because if I refi now, would my taxes and insurance go up?

Can someone explain to me how wholesaling works? I’m new to all this but I like the concept. I’m just not sure exactly what it entails.

Thanks

@Soh Tanaka

I’m closing on my first in 7 days. I’m just trying to get a good game plan right off the bat. I plan on converting it to a duplex (I have funds and everything ready for that) and plan on making double payments for as long as needed. Unless there’s a better way of doing it

Sorry everyone I’m pretty new to this. But I’m wondering how the Refinance thing works, as far as doing it and putting that money as a down payment on another property
