Hello fellow BP'ers,
My name is Brandon and I know the title above says that I'm new to the site but I have actually been registered for a little while and this will be my first official involved post.
Let me first start off with Thanking both Joshua and Brandon for their extremely empowering and knowledge filled Podcasts. I drive fairly long distances for work and most people would cringe at the thought of listening to anything other than music. Me on the other hand, I embrace this time to learn as much about Real Estate Investing as possible and you both do a great job in really explaining the inner workings of this industry.
Without going into long over drawn life stories I would like to introduce myself, what my goals are and hopefully networking with many other REI BP'ers in the Texas area. I am a graduate from The University of North Texas with a minor in Real Estate. I have been completely fascinated by the Real Estate industry for a number of years but, never made the right moves into actually pursuing those ambitions (lets call this REI fear). Over the last year or so I have come to the realization that I am basically spinning my wheels and need to start acting on those ambitions.
Over the course of the next year or so, I would like to have a few REI deals under my belt. I really love the thought of Flipping and/or Buying and Holding properties. My reasons for getting involved are because I would like to be in a position to have financial freedom but mainly because I know this type of work would be something I would greatly enjoy (despite all of the potential negatives to REI).
I can already tell just from the short amount of time spent on this site and listening to the Podcast's that this community is filled with a bunch of like minded individuals as myself. If there are any fellow BP'ers in the Texas (DFW-Houston) areas, I would greatly appreciate the opportunity to connect with you. Finding a mentor seems to be a well mentioned avenue for increasing one's REI knowledge and I certainly look forward to building those relationships.
Thank you all and I'll see you in the forums!
