I have the “why” and I have a goal in mind. I have not sat down to better develop it and give it a time limit or finite destination. I have also heard people throw around the word strategy and did not know where exactly to start or how to develop it. What you said makes a lot of sense and is extremely helpful. I will be sitting down with my wife today and implementing your advice. thank you.

As someone from that area do you have recommendations for other areas outside of Cleveland that are family friendly/safe that are worth looking at?

No. It will be me and my family(wife and 7 kids).

I am in the Cast Guard and stationed Cleveland OH. I have one more year here. I am looking to purchase my first home in the next few months in the north ridgeville or Avon lake area. I will be using a VA loan and living in it for a year. After I transfer I would like to rent it out. Places I am looking at are about $170,000. I am looking to put $0 down at the moment. If anyone has any advice they would be willing to share with someone who is just barely figuring things out, I would greatly appreciate it!
