My wife and I bought a home for $315,000 and it appraised for $365,000. We want to remodel, knock down two walls, get rid of the 80’s carpet, popcorn ceiling, new trim.

How big of a difference would doing a kitchen remodel do? Original from the 70’s, we would update, open kitchen concept.

The goal is to get rid of MI, and cash out refi to purchase another investment property. Thanks for your help!

@Orion Hernandez not that what these people are saying is bad, but it's biased. In the book he doesn't tell you what you should and shouldn't do, he gets straight to the point on HOW to invest whether it's house hack BRRRR fix and flip and getting creative. You can find it on Amazon at the moment for a little less than the BP website itself. Enjoy!

@Orion Hernandez I would highly recommend reading Investing in Real Estate with Low (and no) Money Down written by @Brandon Turner

I’m only 19 and actively looking for my first property. With the wide variety of books I’ve read, each has said not to try to find the market and wait for a sale. We are in a sellers market, but if you find a deal where the numbers make sense, I don’t see the reason I’m not taking it.
