Where in the process do you bring in or reach out to a hard money lender? During closing? Prior to making an offer on a property? Should I establish a relationship with these companies first? Trying to get an idea of how this process works. Thanks!

Through a friend I was able to setup a meeting w/ an experienced and successful investor in my area. My goal is to pick his brain and gain any insight on becoming a new investor. What kind of questions should I ask him? How can I best make usage of this time and also make it beneficial for him? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

This is Brad from New Jersey & I'm excited to not only join but learn from the BiggerPockets community.

My career has been in sports business but I have always envisioned my future as a real estate entrepreneur and now I'm finally taking that leap of faith!

My current interest is in buying & holding for cash flow & buying foreclosures but I look forward to learning all of the exit strategies.
