@Eric Teran

Thank you so much Eric. I just PM you. Bob

Thanks Eric and Russell for your considerate answers/questions with estimate. Yes, I only look to open a front entrance with a new egress door. Does not need to do much inside except perhaps DC city required separate MEU stuff because currently I rented out to a tenant for the two main floors. From grade to basement there are about 5’ feet. Between public walking way to the st and basement wall, there is a front yard with sufficient space for digging out. There are three windows attached to the wall. Porch toward the main door to the house is not in the way to basement in the front. I noticed a few utilities are located on the side of the main door wall but not occupying spaces where the digging out area with three windows are. May need utility expert to determine in the end.I imagine, based on my observation of my neighbor’s basement front door, my door will be installed right on the wall area of the current windows once the digging out is complete with stairs and ground floor for water draining in place. Any thoughts based on my description? I can make a call to you if you are available. Yes, it is in historic area but because several of my neighbors have done that, I don’t think there will be issue with permits from DC govt. bob

@Tony Sepassi plus my basement has a new floor already and kitchen/full bathroom in place.

@Tony Sepassi thank you Tony. Do you mean you have a company in DC/MD/VA areas that can do this kind of job? Like to connect and know more. Bob
