One question I have right off the bat seems important to ask as we are shopping around for our first mortgage: Should we find someone who understands our plan to acquire multiple properties, right from the start? Can it affect us poorly later if we go with a traditional lender from the start? I have heard answers both ways on this and am a little confused.

Hey, my wife and I are about to begin our real estate adventure. we are researching and looking into buy and hold as a long term strategy. We will likely be looking OUTSIDE the city of Toronto for now...My background in home construction and my wife's business savvy will hopefully help us. Thanks so much to everyone and hope to interact soon.
