Hello everyone, 

So I have been on BiggerPockets for a little and figured I should start posting and contributing back a little. Ive been reading the forums and listening to podcasts on here for some time. I think I was first told about bigger pockets in 2008 and have browsed since then, but really have been on here in the last two years. I bought my first property in 2012, second in 2014, and in 2016 started a business with my partner and have done quite a few since. I'll write some posts on a few of those deals later. Anyways thanks everyone for info and motivation.

@Marshall Martinez Thanks for the info, do you have literature that states that the VA uses FHA limits for multi units. I cant find anything that says they do. Have you funded a multi unit property using the FHA limits for multi units? Thanks for the reply.

@Chris Mason Do you know where if anywhere the loan limit is printed stating the single family limit is used for multi units, or is that from experience trying to fund a multi unit with the VA loan. Everything leads me to the single family limit as the only limit, I just cant find any literature on it. Thanks for the reply.

I am currently looking to purchase a multi family property with my VA loan. I cant find anywhere that list's the loan limit for multi family. I have found the single family limits and am curious if those limits are used for multi family? And then when calculating down payment requirements whatever is over the limit if you pay 25% of the difference and that would be the required down payment. Hopefully there is someone that knows where to find the literature on this or is a VA loan expert. Thanks in advance.
