Looking to buy our first deal which is a buy and hold that cash flows well. We have a private lender who wants to give us $40k for the down payment and wants to be paid back within 5 years. He’s a family member so he’s willing to help us out but still wants a 3-5% return on his money.

The problem is trying to figure out a way to pay him back without giving up a ton of cash flow. Any thoughts?

I currently househack and am looking to get my next investment property in 2019. How likely is a bank to give me an investment loan?

My partner and I have an opportunity to get an influx of money to launch our real estate investing career. We want to go as big as possible while staying as safe as possible so we are looking into both SFR and multi family and trying to decipher what’s the most effective. What have people done for their first deal? And how do we maximize this opportunity?
