I'm considering looking in the Dallas/Ft Worth area (I'm in Colorado) for buy/hold properties - any opinions out there about the market as a whole? Specific areas to look at?

That is the same problem I have - I don't receive the notification for a new group topic.

Yes, I get emails notifiying me when a topic that I am "watching" has a posting. It sounds like nationwidepi doesn't receive notifications either(assuming he is a member of some groups).

Thanks. I knew that but when you are a member of a group it's nice to know when a new topic has been posted there - I think that is the way it's supposed to work??

Are we supposed to receive notification when a new topic is posted in a group that we are a member of?

Thanks for all the input - I probably won't pursue this property. This is such a great forum for information!

I have met someone that currently lives in their home but has to get out from under the mortgage - adjustable rate is eating them alive! They have started talking with a realtor and their lender about short sale. They are going to short sell and then find a rental long term - Any ideas on a creative way for me to get into this deal and help them stay in their house by renting it back to them? Is it basically that I buy the short sale and then rent back to them or is there some other solution?

I'm also interested in reviews on her - I'm surpised there are no opinions. She seems pretty well known.

I know - I read it there also. But you will notice that that at the end of the review it is signed "Cheers, Brian Shaffner" and over to the left she explains "The "Foreclosure Guru Reviews" is a compiled list of email complaints that have come directly to Foreclosures.com. These Guru's clients requested we post their email for the world to see. Their entire email is posted "as is" without any editing by Foreclosures.com."

Like I said before, I have no affiliation with her - I just happened to read the same quote that you did and thought it was interesting because I'm interested in some of Conti's material
