Hello All,

My name is Ben Leavitt. I have been on the site now for a little while but am just introducing myself now. Quick background, I flipped a house in Florida with my dad when I was 19 and used my portion of the profit to live in Mexico as a service missionary for 2 years. Fast forward to today and Im married with a new kid and have realized that corporate america is not for me and does not offer the freedom I desire in order to spend more time with my growing family. I had never thought about investing in real estate as a full time job or business until I was looking to escape the corporate grind and happened upon this website.

As a Regional Sales Manager for a tool company I spent the previous 4 years somewhat connected to the industry. After listening to hours of banter and insightful advice from Josh and Brandon on the podcast as well as several of the books mentioned by their guests I decided to "take action". I recently left my job of 4 years and moved from Denver to Phoenix. I am in similar position now but instead of selling power tools I help Real Estate agents and Brokers with their advertising. I am excited to be even closer to the industry as I am now currently looking for my first investment.

My plan is to "house hack" a small multi family by utilizing FHA and 203k loans. I would love to network with everyone especially those form the Phoenix market. If there are any meet ups in the area I would like to particiapate and contribute in any way I can. If there is something I can offer from networking to manual labor let me know. I look forward to becoming an active member of the community and contributing the little I can as I gain experience.

I apologize for the length and if you read through this whole thing, you are awesome and I thank you!

Regards,

Ben Leavitt
