Last year I began my real estate investing journey, no experience and no knowledge of real estate outside of owning my primary residence. I sought out to build a rental portfolio. I joined BP and started seeking out advice from the community. I shared my story and what my situations were. I was a bit shocked to receive feedback from some that I, in essence, am not meant to be an investor, I'll never be an investor, and that I should work myself into the ground to save enough money to buy a rental once a year... Today I am under contract to sell my 5th wholesale assignment, this being the first for the business I created with a partner that helps wholesalers sell homes, helping homeowners sell their homes in the process. We have over 130 properties under contract we are looking for buyers for. I own a long term rental and will continue to add to and build a portfolio. I am a Sub2 student of Pace Morby, the best real estate mentor on the planet. I am loaning 5k for a wholesalers EMD, and helping them sell the property, getting 50% of the assignment in the process. I will continue to look for opportunities to buy my own homes. I hope this helps anyone who's beginning their journey not to give up. Keep looking for the answers, don't listen to the "experts" who tell you you're not capable. Patience, persistence, hard work, and people you can trust is what it takes!
