Joseph Hamaoui, I appreciate the reply.  I would definitely like to get together and discuss things.  I'm an owner operator truck driver currently and I will be home the last week in December.  maybe we can meet then?

I am beginning to read and prepare myself to begin a new chapter in real estate investing and I would like to connect with others doing the same in the Jacksonville area.  

My focus is going to be buy and hold investments in the Orange Park/Middleburg area.  I am roughly 4-6 months away from jumping in for real.  

I am very interested in picking others brains about real estate investing and purchasing & maintaining single family rental properties.  Eager to learn as much as I can.

I am just getting my feet wet in reading and learning about real estate investing.  I'm probably 6 months away from actually diving in to this.  I am primarily going to focus on buy and hold investments to generate a steady monthly cash flow.  

I would really like to know how many of you started out in obtaining your first property, the avenue you took to acquire it and what you did right and wrong in your first deal.

This would help me understand more how I want to move forward.

I am just getting started learning about all this.  As far as wholesaling,  does it make a difference whether it is a residence (single/multi family) or if it's simply land?  Is one or the other more easier to deal with?  I ask because there is a lot of open property for sale in my area.
