Through my years after high school, I encountered folks who chanted "Been there, done that".
I always heard my adorable mom advised me to listen to people's experiences because I may learn their failures and successes. An advice that does not disappoint.
Now, as an experienced individual, what would you have done differently during your youthful days?

I want to begin by saying thank you for all your input. @Doug Vigliano @Jerry W. @Dennis Nemitz
My intention is to provide for my family, I got married a few months ago and been blessed with a beautiful and supportive wife (no kids).
At the moment My goal is to get my foot in the door with property managing and manage at least 70 unit-building. I reside in the South Bay of Los Angeles and rent is my biggest expense. I have been actively seeking a position within the field and area because many buildings offer salary and a free unit; my plan is to save rent and accumulate savings. Due to my lack of experience, I have been educating myself with laws, maintenance, leases, accounting, etc. and now I am in the process of an opportunity with a building of 88-units as an asst.property manger with the same perks mentioned above.
1)Will this be a great way to begin? please advice.
2) any books you recommend ?
3) if you advocate school, will you recommend: Economics, Finances, Accounting or Buss.Admin? as a major. After getting married, my school finally offered me Financial Aid and school will be free.
Once again, thank you guys for your wisdom and hope to hear from you soon.

Hi everyone, I am new to real state investing and I am eager to execute what it takes to get started.
My background begins in the interest of the medical field, after I graduated High School, I thought I wanted to become a nurse. I enrolled in college and found myself dropping courses for about 4 years; never finishing. This hits my confidence as I was led to believe that college was the way to live a good middle class. I believe in self teaching and dropped college. During this time, I worked in the medical field, but always find myself bored in repetitive tasks and always working under someone.
If anyone can shine some light on my way, I will be appreciated and glad to find a group of mindsets striving for the same goal!
thank you!
