rule # one when you find yourself in a hole: stop digging! 

You have not made good investments so far, it is unlikely your "luck" will change. 

First, find a way to live on 90% of your income. Then use the 10% to payoff your debt. When you are out of debt, Find a form of investing more suited to your temperament.
