Thanks for the blogging. It has been great learning experience but nothing better then going through it yourself. It has inspired me to start and stop being a chicken.

@Luis Ontiveros: thanks for the info Luis. I will look into that and will try to attend this Friday. Maybe we can find a way to meet there this Friday. I'll also look into the REIA's that are her in San Diego.

How did you get started into REI?

Thanks Joshua, that brings me confort to know there are other members in the SoCal area. I have been diving deep into the threads and finding some AWSOME info. I have read the "cash flow", 50% "rule of thumb", "rent to value ratio" also dipping into the wholesale and bird dog methods.

I have found that I need to join a local investor group. I have also found interesting the fact that people have recommended on other post that we should start with the wholesale and bird dog method. I'm coming to the conclusion that I should join a group and maybe look into the wholesale or bird-dog ways to start.

I'll get that mug shot up soon I just got the picture on my computer and with the technology we have with phones now I really don't use it as much if you know what I mean. Thanks again for taking the time to respond to the post.

Man I'm excited to learn more about investing. I know that this is the place to be. These forums are great and have great members. That's why I'm coming to you guys. I want to learn from someone here in San Diego. Can anyone direct me in the right place maybe even a investor I can learn from.
