Post: Mold Remediation, Must be Licensed person?

There are a number of options about remediation that need the be discussed whenever you find mold, depending on what kind it is....  Number 1 consideration are the current State laws regarding the proceedure in both notifications and proper remediation.   My advise would be to contact your local city/county and or state regulators to determine the appropriate course of action.  Best news is its location outside the living area.  Bad news is it's there.  Best Luck!

I think I saw you at the meet last night but we didn't speak.  You are right about multi-family being not available now.  

I'm closing today on a property I found 6 days ago for a client.  She is going to live in it while we rehab and likely flip it or rent it out.  If you are into doing it, you can make money, but the thing that will kill you in the market right now because its so hot is analysis paralysis.  Let me know if/how I may help.

As is starting to become obvious in these discussions, each state has their own laws regarding mold, remediation, disclosure et al.  To determine the exact standards that you need to conform with, you will need to fully investigate your individual state statutes and regulations and or hire the appropriate licensed contractors and licensed property managers.   I have recently been interested in this subject and can attest to the fact that the rules and regs vary widely and are to say the least numerous.  BEST LUCK!
