Ali Boone Also, what are you thoughts on turnkey investments in Cleveland and Memphis? I have been looking into these cities as well. I understand that these are long distance which would be a legitimate concern as a newbie I assume.

Hey Ali Boone You are right and as many others have said, NJ is a tough place for turnkey properties for various reasons. To answer your question, I was actually looking into the philly market and found one TK company by the name of Turn Key Philly. Still doing research on this company. Do you have any tips for either the Philly or Baltimore area? Or know of any reputable TK companies that I should consider? Thanks!
Hey guys, I am interested in the property below. This would be my first investment. What are your guys thoughts? Do you think this would be a worthwhile investment? Or would it be better if I found a 2 unit home and rented one unit out? I am new to investing and thinking of what would be advantageous for a first time investor. http://m.homes.com/property/907-carnegie-st-linden-nj-07036/id-400018684745/ Thanks in advance!

Hey Tom Ott No not looking for turnkeys in NJ area. I was maybe thinking of a house hacking strategy in the NJ area in a multi family home versus investing in turnkey away from NJ. Thinking about what would be better as a first time investment.

Hey guys, I am new to real estate investing but have been doing my research on how to get started. I am in my early 20s but want to get started as soon as possible. I had 2 questions which I could use some advice on please! 1. Are turn-key investments good for a first time investor? Keeping in mind that I am fresh out of college and have about 20k saved up so far. 2. Living in the NJ area. Does it seem more advantageous to start in the NJ area so it's in close proximity? My only concern here is the exorbitant property taxes. Many people have said Multi Family Homes are the way to go in NJ. What's your take? I am willing to spend 50-60k on my first investment. Appreciate any advice! Thanks!
Tom Ott Hi Tom, I am definitely looking to buy and hold at this point. I do not hold any investments at the moment but I'm looking to find a profitable first property that is around the 50-75k range. I feel like I need to take a well calculated risk but based off of everyone's feedback, I agree that this property mentioned above is definitely misleading. I am not from the Cleveland area but I know that it is a great area to start real estate property investments. I am actually from central NJ but properties here are very expensive for me to buy into right now, as I see it. Therefore I am looking at other areas around the country such as Cleveland. As for your question on turnkey properties, I have taken a look into them and would definitely be interested. I see that you are from the Cleveland area and appreciate your insight as I try to buy my first investment. Thank you everyone!
Federico Gutierrez Thanks for your input! I see that you have solid experience in the Cleveland market. Since I am from jersey, I do not have first hand exposure to the neighborhood besides what I've read online. What areas in Cleveland would you suggest I look at for multifamily properties?
Hey guys, I am looking to buy my first rental property within the next year. I've been researching quite a bit the past few months to learn about the different factors involved when evaluating properties. I came across a listing in Cleveland, OH which interests me. Can you please give me any insight on this property? http://www.loopnet.com/Listing/20265820/7102-Grand-Ave-Cleveland-OH/ Thank you in advance! Eager to hear your thoughts! Best, Bhavik
