@Charlie MacPherson Thank you so much for all that information! I am really torn between choosing a traditional brick and mortar broker and eXp because I am not sure I’ll get the same in-person training at eXp that I would at a physical brokerage (being completely new to the world of Real Estate, I would love to learn the most that I can and build connections as I go). It is a lot to process right now but I will be sure to continue researching the variety of options!

Hi guys!

My name is Ben Morand. I am currently a second-year Finance student at the University of Florida with a minor in Economics and working towards a combined Masters degree in International Business. I have been working towards getting my Sales Associate license for the past few weeks now and I have some questions that are specific to my situation (working as an agent while in college).

In my quest to find the right broker, I have come to 2 major favorites (from what I’ve heard): Keller Williams and eXp.

I have heard some about each and I know that they are completely different but I am wondering if anyone can give me an unbiased comparison of both in terms of the following:

- Training for new agents

- Compensation

- Flexibility (I live in Gainesville, FL for school but come home for summers to Orlando, FL)

- Daily/weekly schedule

- Benefits

- Extra features (marketing help, etc.)

Thanks so much guys!

Ben

@Jonna Walters Thank you so much for your insight! I think for me, a huge thing is the fact that my university (in Gainesville, FL) is about 2 hours from my home (Orlando, FL). So I live the school year in Gainesville and the summers in Orlando. By any chance, is KW flexible with location? I guess my question is: what is the office/at home work divide like? Would I be able to work remotely for the summer months or would it be beneficial for me to stay in Gainesville year-round?

I am trying to weigh all the benefits of different brokerages. I have heard nothing but good things about KW, so it is one that definitely intrigues me!

Also, another question: what exactly is the training like at KW? I have heard that it is great, but is it hands on or is it more of a module-based training?

Thanks so much!

@Chris Soignier I actually have read Cashflow Quadrant. Great book! Your link to the eXp presentation was very interesting. I’ll look more into it. Thanks for the help!
