Naming your company is a good idea. There are benefits to having a trade name. It helps to identify you and good if you're networking, handing out business cards etc. I'm a beginner at investing, but agree with Bryan in that I wouldn't toil over finding the ultimate name at the expense of putting in offers. Names can change/evolve over time, but missed REI opportunities may not come around a second time. If you choose a name now and decide to change later, it may get expensive to make changes if you make it legal so think carefully about it. While Cash For Houses definitely gets the point across, you see that everywhere. You could use the XYZ ... which is more unique then add that you give Cash for Houses etc. on your card, letterhead, whatever. I myself was looking for something unique. The name was for another purpose. Then trying to streamline it all, I applied the name to REI as well. It may change again ... hopefully not. You can Google to see if others have the same name you plan to use.
